Salt or sugar?

What is it, with salt and sugar?
They're related in a weird way: they're like twins, but just as good twins, their personality is completely different!

If you take sugar by mistake when you make pasta, who cares? You just change your Menu and say it was supposed to be sweet:tastes good too!
If you put salt on jam it's OK too: pâté is salty, and in our effort to make it fancy we throw some jam on it, and it still tastes good!
But what happens if you put salt instead of sugar in your eggnog? Not so good anymore!

You mix your eggs with what was supposed to be sugar (or at least pretending to be), you do your thing with the rum and the whiskey, mix some milk and finish with a "whipped creamy" touch!
It looks great! So you fill your mug (while you have saliva running through your mouth), and you take a big sip.You nearly drink the whole thing, cause it tastes sooooo good!
After the sip, you go like: "Something isn't right!" And then suddenly while the mixture gets stuck in your taste buds, you say: "Oh my God!"
You start looking for something to take the taste of salty eggnog away, but you don't have anything at hand , so ypu choose to drink the rum or the whiskey that's still in front of you.
After that, you realise, salty eggnog isn't as bad as you thought! Then, you think: what does well with salt, and guess what?Something called Tekila comes to your mind.

Two hours later, after drinking the whole thing, you realise you're the most brilliant person on the planet, and send your new recipe to Martha Stuart!
Thing is: Everything tastes good on Christmas!

¡HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYBODY!
